About Anchor Point Visuals

Thoughtful resources for children who experience the world differently.

Neurodiversity-affirming social stories and visual supports for parents, special education teachers, and therapists working with PreK–2 children in the United States.

Our story

Why Anchor Point Visuals began

Anchor Point Visuals began in March 2026 after noticing how few social stories reflected a respectful, neurodiversity-affirming approach. The aim is to make difficult situations more predictable and understandable without shame, compliance-based language, or assumptions about what a child should feel.

Our resources are created for the adults supporting children in everyday life: parents, special education teachers, and therapists working with children from PreK through second grade.

How content is prepared

Our editorial process

  1. We identify a practical challenge experienced by children and their support teams.
  2. We review current articles, publications, and public guidance from specialists in special education and related fields.
  3. We compare recommendations across sources and translate recurring principles into clear, age-appropriate support.
  4. We review every article and resource for respectful language, practical usefulness, and consistency with a neurodiversity-affirming approach.
  5. We cite key sources so readers can examine the underlying information themselves.
